Frequently Asked Questions
1. Question: How far in advance should I book services for my event?
Answer: We recommend booking 1-2 months before your event date. We do accept late bookings and last-minute bookings. However, the time slot you are looking for may not be available.
2. Question: How far do you travel for events?
Answer: We are based in Kitchener-Waterloo but travel all over Ontario. for events outside of the KW area, we have a travel rate dependent on the distance travelled.
3. Question: How do I book your services?
Answer: Contact us at erictudexdo@gmail.com or text us at 226-798-3446 with details of your event. When you book we will ask for a $40 booking fee per artist to secure the time and date of your event. Deposits help finalize the booking, with bookings not being finalized until the deposit has been received and confirmed.
*Until confirmation of your deposit is received, your booking date is available to anyone. To avoid disappointment, please send your deposit ASAP to secure your date. We want your event to succeed on the date you would like!
4. Question: How do I pay for the services I booked?
Answer:
Residential events must be paid In full within 48 hours of services rendered.
We accept E-transfer, PayPal, and cash for these events. We also accept credit cards with an additional 3% fee.
Large/corporate events must be paid In full 7 days before the event date.

5 Question: What do I need to provide for the performers or artists?
Answer: We ask for the following:
Space to offload as close as possible to the venue entrance
Parking to be available
Access to water
A shaded area for our performers if the event is outdoors
An indoor option in case of inclement weather
Tables and chairs are not required but are appreciated.
The space requirements for the package booked will be discussed with you when booking.
6. Question: What ages do you entertain?
Answer: We enjoy entertaining audiences of all ages!
Balloons are enjoyed by all, but we ask for those under 3 to have parental supervision
There are no age restrictions on face painting. However, those under 3 may be uncomfortable with paint on their face. We recommend small face paint designs on the hand or arm for anyone uncomfortable
We can tailor magic shows for different audiences and for repeat magic shows. When booking, let us know your needs and we will design the best show suited for your audience.
People of all ages can enjoy caricatures! Let us know what age groups you're expecting to help us accommodate your requests
7. Question: What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
Answer: The original booking fee provided at the time of the booking is non-refundable. This fee is used to secure our services and fund our behind-the-scenes work to prepare for your event. The rest of the remaining balance is not required.
8. Question: Do you provide services for large events such as festivals?
Answer: Yes! For events with over 100 guests, please contact us as we will coordinate entertainment to suit your needs.
9. Question: This website is called Balloon Animals, Magic & More with Eric. Does Eric do all the services at all the parties?
Answer: Eric has many important roles, from running the office to renting out the equipment, and performing the magic shows and balloon artistry. Of course, he can't do it all, so he works with a team of independent face painters and sketch artists to bring those services to you. Each artist would be responsible for their self, actions, liability, and duties while held to our high standard at Balloon Animals with Eric. Due to insurance reasons, we must work in the set hours given to us by the hiring party. We are unable to work unpaid additional time such as in Festivals and large events without due notice.
10. Question: Do you have more than one magic show?
Answer: Yes! Our award-winning Family Friendly Magic Show for all ages is great for kids, our Mind Reading Magic Show for our older audiences, and we do walk-around magic for Festivals, Weddings, and Large Events.
If you have already experienced one of our magic shows, just let us know and we can always add something new!
11. Question: Do you need to tip?
Answer: Tips are not required, thou appreciated! If you think staff have gone above and beyond, gratuity or a simple offer of a meal or drink can go a long way! Please be aware some of our staff do have dietary recommendations or may have additional functions later in the day.
